Hi Guys,

Complete Newbie on the forums in need of some advise... (probably the most used phrase on the forum lol).

My wife has been receiving some rather unpleasant calls from a private number in recent days, The heavy breathing kind if you know what I mean, Is it possible to have vodacom expose the number making these calls, how would I go about getting information on who this is? She is starting to get more than a little freaked out by the whole thing and to be quite frank, so am I!

I think you need to get cops involved before vodacom will release information about that number

Yup ... get the cops involved. But you might find that by the time the cops got their act together, the stalker might have grown tired of stalking your wife.

Why doesnt she just hang up, why is she playing the role of the victim? It once started happening to my wife, but she nipped it in the bud quite quick.

Just ignore it, stop asking "who is this?", "Why are you calling me?", "leave me alone", etc....

These kind of people crave the reaction, so simply saying nothing will make them bored while they move onto their next "victim", they want a reaction, dont give them the satifisfaction.

Private Number Rings - answer - say hello - "if untoward call" - hang up straight away. Don't say a word, not even a sigh, then ignore all private numbers for the rest of the day, trust me, they go away. If they still dont go away, then get police involved.

Good Luck.

just answer it and put it on the table. With the cost of calls these days the a-hole will only be hiking up his/her own phone bill... I do it to these telemarketers aka SPAMMERS :)

Just ignore witheld numbers... I have voicemail, so if it is an important call then leave a voicemail and I will get back to you. If not, go away.

Only way is too lay a charge at the Cop Station, but this will take time as they must then get the records from Vodacom.

The other way is to find a "friend" in Vodacom to help you get the call records.

Probably will be easier.

Thanks for the advise guys, She's not really the victim type, more the "I want to destroy him as a functional human being type" lol.

So yes, she is trying to coax him into giving away something. but the ignore it advise has some merit in the short term, should it go on much longer we'll be visiting the local cop shop I think... Already dreading THAT possibilty.

This sounds like the start of every scream & other horror movies...

How do you know he is not outside your window, bugged your house and is watching your every move... and bedroom activities... :erm:

This is the best idea - I also do it with telemarketers. Eventually they get tired and hang up :)

Never fear for I have solved the mystery, connected all the dots and I herby present my findings.

Here is your stalker, the man who has been trying to find you...

S.O.S

He just wants to know how you have been, and he loves you so much, that he is left breathless... :erm:

She clearly reacts to his satisfaction

She probably goes  and such.

In my experience the best solution is to graphically describe how you are going to grab his balls and crush them, while enjoying the experience.
Don't give him time to react... Then ask what colour g-string he is wearing.

Continue on a worse basis until he hangs up.

The 3 occassions I had to endure that they put down after g-string.

Best wishes to her in ending this. They enjoy fear and disgust. They hate the heavy stuff directed at them....

I really really wish I could speak like that...will have to start practising :D

Ignoring them and hanging up does work...just takes longer for them to stop.

When you get called daily for 3 weeks, you get tired.

Pretend you are on the phone with your lover and add the "husky" voice.

He even asked me if I went mad overnight before ending the call.

Pretend you are in an acting role...

Lol, Getting past the Boerbulls would definately keep him occupied with other concerns!

Thanks for the advise Chilli, I'll tell her to give the "Postal approach" a go lol.
