I do not think the average SA prisoner / detainee knows who Rock Hudson was. Maybe if the tattoo had another famous AIDS sufferer's name, it could work :D
 
I agree with you guys

Each station should have a designated cell commander with cctv access in all the cells
It definatly needs to be improved, there was a guy iwho had a carrot shoved up his ass while been held at a cell in one of our local police stations

Claiming to have aids wont stop them, most of them have it anyway
 
Your rapist will probably have AIDS anyway so making it known that you have the disease will not be a good enough deterant. If the dude is willing to go up your butty i'm sure he won't mind it if you have solied yourself.
 
On new years eve this year I had an encounter with the Durban metro officers. Every year around Christmas and New Year they block off the beach front roads to traffic and also on new years, florida road for the street party they have. I lived in an area affected by this and they are supposed to organise permits for the residents and allow them access, which this year they did not.

I decided to go down to the bottle store and get some "juice" for later that night. I hit the roadblock before leaving my area and knew this would be an issue. I parked and spoke to the officers before and they basically said "well you can leave, but you won't be able to get back in". While I was discussing this with them the event organisers arrived and the senior officer. They where instructed to let any people claiming to be residents through because of the screw up with permits. I confirmed this with the senior office and left.

Twenty minutes later I arrived back and surprise, surprise the same officers would not let me in. I tried to talk to one officer and he ignored me and carried on typing a sms on his cell phone and his partner kept telling me to move my vehicle without actually listening to what i was asking / saying. The second officer then moved to get into my vehicle to move it. I instructed him to get the fff out my car (he was already seated) and moved to block the door and lock it (after he was out). Two other officers came over and tried to tell me to move. It was only when one officer pulled out his cuffs and said that they'll move me and the car did I finally decide to move.

I then moved my car through some back alleys and got into the "restricted" area. I went and found the organisers and gave them a piece of my mind as well as the officers again with the organiser present.

I was pissed because I felt they had no right to restrict my access to my home and secondly because they where disobeying a direct order from the senior officer on site. I admit in hindsight that I handled the situation poorly and actually appologised for my anger.

At the time I moved my vehicle the only reason I gave in, was because of the thought of spending a few hours / night in a holding cell and suffering a similar fate to the chap mentioned in the original post.

Yup.. those parties in Florida road and the blockages of the beach front are a pain in the ass if you ask me, and if you know the area they're not impossible to get around.

I had a permit a few years ago and tried to get thru and the moronic officer wouldn't let me in... I parked my car and stormed off to find its superior and gave him a piece of my mind, then dragged the superior back and watched the officer get chewed out, and then I happily drove my car thru....
 
The "funniest" part of the whole incident was I was holding up a truck doing deliveries and I told them I wanted to see his permit before I would move. The chop said something along the lines of "no he doesn't need a permit, we are letting him because he is Indian and we are Indians" I had not even noticed they where all Indian till he said that. Then when the organiser came down, the same chop said people where accusing him of being racist.
 
Me in a cell full of rapists? Hell would that be interesting. If I knew the guy next to me was a rapist and proud of it I don't think he would have a face left :)

Then again this is my dream world, still I wouldn't just stand around either.
 
jail is not a place to play around with . I would rather bribe a cop than end up on a freak cell honeymoon.

Just imagine they're finished raping you, you turn around, and politely say: "...now you also have Aids" :D
