Cell C was dead for me too, but it's now up and running again. Quickly, start your downloads again!

Mine is moving again, but only at a crawl !

Update from Facebook:

We are pleased to announce that our Network fault in Johannesburg has been fully restored.
We are still experiencing a challenge with the link to our Call Centre, but we assure you that we are doing our best to fix it.

You guys have one hour to blow your data, I blew mine yesterday...:D

Odd - I'm still getting only 0.22Mbps download in Kempton ?? 576ms ping to Cell C speedtest??

Still erratic, starts download then stops, nothing in or out.
Get your Sh*t together CellC.
This must count as my worst experience so far.
Carry-over my balance to April, this is unacceptable!!!

1265.82MB waisted. Thanks CellC for "boosting" the speed from 23:00 on 31 March. That gave me a hour to download 1.5GB at 1mb/s. I thought the 7.2mb/s dongle should gave me at least 4-5mb/s. Since day one I dont think I ever got above 2mb/s.

And now you want to upgrade to 42mb/s??????

maybe last nite was cellc idea of a april fools joke.
Im not laughing at all. Get your **** together before thinking of goin 42mb/s.

Ok hahaha funny one cell c now give us our data back please...

I've managed to use up 95% of my data since inception so well done to CellC.
As for the other guys-I feel you pain, so hang in there.

Word of advice.Don't leave it for the last 3 or so days to finish your cap.

Totally unacceptable.
I had 1.5G data left to use up, but I couldnt even open google. Tried for at least 2 hours.
I demand my 1.5G back. This is robbery. Cell C rep where are you?
Cell C wasted my time last night and stole my data!

my concern is not how much data I lost, never use my full cap anyway, what worries me is that it seemed like a national problem and there's no explanation from CellC

Hi Guys, I share your pain - although fortunately I had already used up almost all my data allocation.
On the one hand it doesn't really make sense why we should forfeit unused data at the end of every month - same principle applies to cellphone contracts. After all, if I have bought something then it belongs to me and I can use it as and when it suits me?
On the other hand if you look at their business model: not everyone is going to use their full allocation (I'm talking general public here, not MYBB'ers), so the overall average usage is less than the allocation, and that helps to keep prices down. So maybe it's not such a bad idea after all?
Just a thought: What if the unused data could be carried over - say for one week or one month - before expiring. Sort of like a compromise arrangement, and this would help to alleviate the heavy overload at month end.

My connection has been fubar since yesterday with no change today.
Wonder what the problem is, never had this before?
