My connection used to be ok. i.e. I used to get time outs but only during peak hours and maybe only once an hour for less than a minute.

For the last month or so I keep getting time outs every 10/15 minutes. During peak hours it's almost unusable. Can't reconnect for several minutes at a time. Even late at night after midnight the connection has become terrible. I'm in the Woodstock area Cape Town.

CellC, I know you guys are cheap but I'm spending a lot of my time lately cursing and banging my head against the wall because of the crap connection. I don't mind the speeds dropping to edge but don't disconnect me every few minutes!! I need to be connected 24/7.

Today is the worst ever. I just got timed out and can't reconnect at all. Connection to the remote computer cannot be established error. So using my Virgin sim to connect from my phone till CellC wakes the **** up. Pretty sure my neighbours can hear me cursing at CellC every time it times out. Will probably get a warning from the body corporate for poor use of language. Will tell them it's CellC's fault.

I've bought a cellc starter pack to see what's the speed on edge/gprs atm in our area in the n/cape.
This is the result;

Once again CellC is unusable. I can connect but everything times out. So I'm using my Virgin sim and connecting my laptop via wifi through my phone. Virgin is working beautifully. Less than 100ms ping and good speeds. Wonder how they can piggyback off CellC and have better data. Anyways CellC has clearly oversold their network in the Cape Town CBD and outskirts area or their network is falling apart. So anyone using CellC please move over to MTN or Vodacom so that I can have my internet back. Also, no new sign-ups in Cape Town please. You won't be happy and will make things worse for the rest of us.

have you PM'd Cell_C or looked for any other form of technical support????
