CellC connect, no data throughput?

My giga 200 data pack connects, but there is no data throughput.
Depending on where I am it connects and shows wcdma or hsdpa at good signal, but nothing comes through.

I didnt check bud.
I did try later in the day again and got connected some throughput.
It's rather iffy though.
Will try later when at home.

Will do. Have tested in Hillcrest and Mobeni in Durban.

It's such a lottery, today I get to Hillcrestr and this

Most other days it connects but no or very little data transfer, even for just browsing, so not sure whats happening.

Waiting for CellC to launch LTE...

Data myside is always stable - not the fastest though, but throughput is always consistent. Average about 3mbps in Milnerton and 11mbps in Cape Town central.

It connects, but no data throughput.

I got in my car with my laptop and drove from Mobeni to Umbogintwini with the same result.
When I got up the hill near Galleria in Toti i managed to get connected with data throughput.
I carried on all the way to Winkelpsruit along the N2 with varying speedtest results, most around 2mb down.

That has been going on for years on Cell C, if it works it's great when it doesn't work then tough.
Depending on what you use to connect, you can try changing some of the HSPDA settings. That seems to help some people, just look in this this subsection for the USSD codes to do it.
