Sounds about right.
Was quoted the same amount to do a sim swop.
Ended up downloading a micro sim template, printing it, and cutting my own card to size.
Cost me the time it took to download, print and cut. Maybe 50c.
The cut sim works perfectly.
its bullshyte, they wanted to charge me R180 for a nano sim , went to 8ta , and paid 99c for a nano
This was why I did not move to CellC. When I wanted to port my number to them and get a CellC nanosim they asked me for R100. I decided to move to 8ta which swapped my number and gave me a free nanosim.

R100 for a piece of plastic they sell in shops for R0.50 (prepaid SIM) is ridiculous.
I hope you're listening, CellC!
I walked into Makro. They had a bin full of Cell C starter packs. I found that there were also the Micro and Nano starter sim packs amongst the regular sim starter packs.
I came home and did a sim swap over the phone.
The best part was that I only paid R0.10 for the micro sim.
