So interesting to see that Cellc launched daily data bundles. The nite data deals look impressive for people that need to download updates or so at night.

So buying a 50MB bundle everyday will cost you R150 for 1.5GB data split into 50mb everyday. Its not bad but to buy it every day.....

That night data looks awesome, although it's a shame it's not from midnight. If I needed to download on mobile data I could just schedule P2P or http downloads on my phone.

Speaking of which, does anyone know of a decent download manager for android where you can schedule downloads?

Something similar to internet download manager, where you just add the link and it starts at a specified time

I was about to post this. Great move from Cell C, this will be useful to us folks who rely on mobile data.

For normal downloading, Advanced Download Manager from the PlayStore can do scheduling.

Great for those of us who are on WiFi most of the day but need cellular data when on the move.

This pretty good. Btw what's the fastest way possible to buy the bundle?

Actual options.
(1-5)

Is it possible to string those together and get immediately thrown into the selection?

If it's not possible I suggest something like *147*24# that throws you directly into the daily bundle screen. That way, if I want my parents to use it I can just create a "Daily Bundle" contact.

Who will be giving this a bash tonight ?

I did last night. Works a treat. Unfortunately you cannot stack these bundles to schedule a 3gb download while you sleep... well ive tried 3 times now... it wont load a secondary bundle of the same type.

I'm super confused... Why not just *109# to buy these bundles directly?

I was able to stack 2 x daily bundles today. Maybe the nite bundles are different?

Will give it a bash during night shift and let you know if the results are positive or negative.

This will do for now until I can get my hands on a Giga Card.

A Giga card
