So I went to sell C on Saturday to get my Whoooos.

While waiting patiently for the Salesperson to help me he suddenly shouts to his friend outside the shop "Amandla, the struggle continues" and showed the black power sign.

I left without my whoooos and free coffee:cry:

PM the Cell C CEO on the forums, i'm sure he'll like to hear about it.

Quite a random and useless post... SA customer service is equally as bad across all industries and companies, especially on the retail side... so no point picking on Cell C... pick on RSA as a whole :)

I'm highlighting a problem, why would that be a useless post?

I never experienced anything like this in other shops in South Africa.

Well, i agree - you are highlighting a problem. So I retract my statement about being a useless post, apologies. I just thought that this was more about SA customer service rather than Cell C customer service. I experience this sh**ty service every day from the guy @ the quickshop to the branch manager at the bank i unfortunately bank at....

The location of BBSA in many ways reveals where he positions himself, in the SA social scene. The pre 1990 presidents were racist suppressors, so we are still immensely struggling with our Prez. I do fully agree, though that the Cell C salesmans behaviour was totally inappropriate, and agree that customer care in SA is often appalling. Would myself probably not have walked out of the shop. Could also stop patronising the local Nashua Mobile outlet, where the owner mentioned in a rather disapproving, demeaning way, when discussing the Cell C rollout of their internet, that they were "Arabs". Cell C is indeed largely owned by a Middle East consortium. When I told him, that chinese technicians had installed the 4G equipment on the Cell C /Telkom tower in our small town, and that I even had the guys testing it in my house, he immediately made remarks in a similar degrading fashion about the chinese, who don't have a workpermit. It all came across as more than xenophobic, especially as a foreigner myself with a partner from a different cultural background. But that's life in modern SA. Do fully agree that the present prez way of coming to power is more than controversial, to say the least.

By the way, found the worst Customer care @ Vodacon, sorry Vodacare where they wanted me to pay for just diagnosing the fault of a phone, that was still under guarantee and telling that it was too expensive , not economical to fix.Without doing anything for me..
