Ok it's Saturday I have 400MB + R165 weekend special airtime. So what you're saying is that I must use up my 400MB before I can use the weekend special airtime, which I can only use this weekend. Then I must load another bundle on Monday. Now explain to me how this weekend special airtime helps me?

You take that into consideration before the time.
 
So it would seem to get the best out of this weekend special you have to go about it as follows:
Let's say I want to download 2 GB of data. I buy R150 airtime. Load a 50 MB bundle costing R7.50. I end up with 50 MB and R142.50 + R150=R292.50 airtime.
I can then download 50 MB plus 1950 MB at 15c/MB before the end of Sunday using up all the bonus airtime.

Because all bundles are 15c/MB in bundle and OOB, you can also just do it incrementally (say if you're not sure you're gonna need 2 GB). So buy R50 airtime, buy small bundle and go OOB on the weekend airtime before end Sunday.

In essence the weekend special becomes a "double your data during weekends" special.

That's what I did last weekend. But I now opted for the 3gb valid for one year. So this is no longer useful.

Is the 15c/MB OOB rate applicable to the 3GB/365 bundle as well? For how long, 365 days?

I am in the same boat as you. I also have the 3GB/365day voucher loaded on my phone.

So I can only use the airtime for phone calls to Cell C numbers.

My family and friends on Cell C are wondering why I am phoning them on the weekends to see how they are doing lately...:D
 
BIg problem my side.I got two Cell C numbers on which i load prepaid airtime during the week and thus far have only received a "weekend special" once on the one number.@Cell_C ...c`mon,please sort this out.Will PM Cell_C also.

Good idea. I loaded a 100mb bundle last week and have R20 this weekend which will go to waste since I've not used up my bundle yet.
 
Doesn't seem to be working this weekend. Deducted from my normal airtime first. Now I have zero airtime left, can't make a call and there is R100 available on the weekend special. :confused:

OK on my side. Switched to weekend special just now, and R2.xx airtime still showing.

I only use weekend specials for data, but the phone call option also caught me by surprise in the beginning. I phoned a friend in EL to his VC sim, and wasted a lot of money because of CellC to CellC only. :o
 
I loaded up some airtime and bought a data bundle which just expired. I have R25 on the weekend special, so if I can reach 160Meg it works. So far it doesn't seem to have touched my leftover R7.00 airtime which is pretty cool.

It's extremely flexible. All I have to do is keep a few R25 vouchers near, try to use them over the week and play with the bonus data on the weekends.

I just bought R35 airtime....and recieved R35 weekend special airtime. Bought 100MB with R15 from that airtime. Now i am left with R20 airtime. So what i want to know is, if lets say i finish my 100MB on saterday which airtime will be used for data? Will it apply the out of bundle on the R20 remaining airtime or the R35 weekend special airtime?

After you have finished your data bundle, your weekend special will be used first, I have tested it and it works.
 
I recharged from ABSA online banking and I did not receive any weekend extra data, actually I also recharged from a voucher last week and I also did not receive any "weekend" data :(

Why does Cell C hate me?

are you on the correct price plan? It's only for the 99c For Real package.
