Just received this SMS when recharging with R50!:)

CellC rock!

You have successfully recharged your prepaid account with R 50.00 and have also received R 50.00 Weekend Special Airtime.
 
When does the weekend start, 17h00 Friday?

I know it ends midnight on Sunday, but when does it start?
 
@Madhawk....maybe Cell_C Rep can clear that for us tomorrow.....would also be nice if you can convert it to data.

you will be able to use your weekend special airtime from Friday midnight till Sunday midnight unfortunately you will not be able to buy data bundles with this airtime but can use the airtime to connect to the internet

If you have a data bundle already loaded will it use from the data bundle or from the weekend special & at what rate 99c or 15c (its free so I dont care just interested to know before I pass this nugget on).

your weekend special airtime would be used up first following that would be your data bundle

Just to make a correction your data bundle will be used up first and then your weekend special airtime if you have a bundle that was loaded you will be charged 15cents per MB(for the period in which the bundle is valid) and if you don’t have a bundle you will be charged 99 cents per MB

CellC weekend special Mistake on website

I think there has been a mistake on the advert. It says R35 + R35 = R75.00
Just letting you know.

Not So Special

Tried purchasing data bundles with the weekend special airtime with no success. Then I called the call centre they told me bundle purchases can not be done with this airtime. Sigh! This promotion has become useless to me, I have airtime which is pretty much useless to me... Why oh why Cell C?

OOB when your data bundle is depleted is 15c right? So If I load 50Meg and that runs out, the weekend special will essentially also give me 50MB
 
Well if I was paying the old OOB rate I wouldn't of been able to post this. So i guess it does go over to 15c.
