As long as it remains free I'll use it but if they start charging . . forgeddaboutit.

I still wish the banks would upgrade their telephone banking to the level I had in the UK when I was there. Could just phone a number, supply relevant random characters of the password they asked for and off you went. Could transfer money internationally, between accounts, setup a payment, setup a debit order, any function of normal banking. They could even give you balances over the phone of any of your accounts.

Trying to do something like that through Nedbank, even through their private banking, is a pain.

You can do pretty much all the transactional stuff Internet Banking can do. I know FNB has something similar.. not sure about Nedbank.

That isn't cellphone banking though. This is. http://standardbank.mobi/ is basically a mini WAP/Phone Browser friendly site. I've used FNB's too and it's not bad. I see Nedbank has it as well .. haven't used it.

With DSL at home, internet at work and internet on my laptop I cannot see myself ever attempting to use a cellphone for internet banking. A Blackberry, etc. might be a different story altogether.
