Cellphone banking takes off

All it takes is a bank account and a cellular handset.
HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST ?
I know that subscribing to telephone banking costs me like 40-50 buack a month.
Is the SMS version free ?

[edit]
Okay .. found it: https://www.fnb.co.za/personal/transact/accessyouraccounts/cell_fees.html
Code:
R0,00 = FNB Cellphone Banking Subscription Fee
R0,00 = inContact = Free

R1,50 = Buying prepaid airtime
R0,50 = Check the account balance on a specific account
R1,25 = Check the balance on all of my accounts
R2,00 = Get a mini statement
R3,00 = Transfer money between my own FNB accounts

R4,00 = Transfer R0,01 - R1 000 to anybody else.
R8,00 = Transfer R1 000,01+ to anybody else.
R2,00 = View the history of all my payments

3 bucks to do internal transfers !

So ... I have a savings account and a transmission account.
R0,50 = I get paid, and draw a balance on my transmission to verify the fact.
R3,00 = I transfer money to my savings account.
R0,50 = I check my savings account balance.
R8,00 = I pay my rates and taxes to ekhoeruleni.
R8,00 = I pay my bond [Cos I use a flexi-bond] / I pay my rent.

= R20.00 a month for the basic requirements.
I think that's a bit steep.

I STILL PAY SMS CHARGES AS WELL ?
::
Please note: Standard network operator SMS and USSD rates apply.
So that's 5 sms's at about R2.00 an sms = 10 rand.
