Cellphone tower erected above my head

So the building I work in obviously aren't making enough cash so they not only erected the HUGEST advertising board in our parking bay without saying anything I might add, but they have now got Cell C here putting up a cellphone tower on the roof, which is literally above my head.

Now surely this is not good? I need to do some research when I have time, but I remember protests awhile back by people complaining about these towers being to close to peoples living space, schools, nursery schools etc.

My gut tells me that being this close to a cellphone tower can't be good for ones health at all. :cry:
 
Standing under the tower is the best place to be as the sectors face outward. Thus no tinfoil required :p

Imagine, however, the horrors you would have been forced to endure had it been on the roof of the building opposite yours. Things like excellent cell phone signal, stable calls, break neck wooooshing internet. Simply shocking I tell you. ;)
 
No matter how much multibillion dollar cellular companies try and hide it, radiation is bad. They "claim" to have independant sources that say that cellphones and cellphone towers dont cause readiation but that is all just a corporate cover up. Just as ciggarette companies denied that smoking causes cancer untill there was significant evidence to show that in fact it does cause cancer. Radiation is bad, but theres no getting away from it buddy. Literally every inch of this country is covered, thus going to live in a farm away from the bad smells and radiation of the city will do no good.

Erect towers are fine. Just watch out for the money shot. Or maybe you're into that sort of thing.

Edit: Rule 34 on cellphone towers anyone?

After seeing the Carte Blanche episode on cell phone masts, I'd also be worried. It featured people who live across the road from towers becoming really ill (then when they move are miraculously healed) plus the plants in the garden changing direction and growing away from a newly installed tower. Quite scary!

Television signals, GPS satellites, wifi, cellphone towers, electromagnetic radiation emanating from the device you're using to post on this forum and every single other electrical device, your microwave, etc. I'm surprised we're not all dead yet.

I wonder why?

I wouldn't worry about it too much, considering that you are underneath of its direct cones. The transmitting power is anyway so low that it shouldn't affect your health. If it really was so bad don't you think some of the research would have picked up on it?

You do more harm to yourself standing in the bright sun without sun-block than non-ionizing, low-power EM radiation. The worst that could happen is if you talk with the device by your ear for hours at a time. Put it on loudspeaker if the convo lasts more than 10 minutes. That's all.
 
So what sort of speeds do you get now? ;)

They always overlook some key cases:
Like when a tower was switched OFF for three months and people were still complaining about headaches etc :rolleyes:
Or another tower that was built and never switched on, and people complained
etc etc etc

Nevermind that there is a big difference between ionising and non ionising radiation... and that you get much more radiation daily from natural sources than what a cell tower will ever be able to

Actually, you'll find in time that aliens are using cell c towers to mark priority targets for assimilation.

Just a heads up.
