Cellular Anti-Malware

Hallo!

I suspect that my phone is infected with malware because it is really slower than what it was at first (I know phones sometimes become slower as they age and get updates, like I said: I suspect). I know there are a lot of anti-virus apps out there but my can hardly run whatsapp smoothly so yeah.. I was wondering if just plugging my phone in the computer and using the computer's anti-virus to scan the "hard drives" of the phone is just as good as actually scanning it with anti-virus app? Will it even do anything?

What phone is it? Android had a malware scanner since 2012 so no need to use something else. If the phone is running slower perhaps factory reset it or clean the apps cache by going into settings > storage > then tap on Cache storage.
