Central camera plan shifts focus

hmmm... interesting, but how effective are these cams?
And why are they so expensive? Is it like all the cabling costs and stuff like the control panels? I can't imagine that it could be this expensive....
 
Those are high quality cams, lenses and the controls, zooming + panning, like Industrial Quality! Low light capability! Can be very expensive! Some $$ will of cause be scooped as the price but the net effect would be great for the crime prevention and control! Gvt should force all Metros to do it Well and coordinate it Nationally! Wishes and dreams I presume!

And if it stops crime, well, i'm all for it.
I remember when i was about 15, there was a news report where they showed a murder in cape town captured with one of these cams. Shocking stuff, really it was!
So, still, they can also increase police presence, also very effective, and coupled with this tech, it can help rid our wonderfull cities of crime. Ah
