Hey guys,

So I want to want to open our Centurion D5 evo gate for our domestic and garden service over wifi is this possible?

Is it also possible to open over wifi and still use "normal" remotes as our armed response needs to gain access if alarm has been triggered.

Also any recommendations for a wifi camera that will "notify" my cellphone if there is someone at the gate so I can open for them?

I can only comment on the camera stuff.
You can have a look at frigate, great integration with HomeAssistant and works with any RTSP camera. You can even use it for facial detection/notification.

If you want an option outside of home assistant and willing to pay, look at Wyze. The subscription isn't to bad for person detection/notification. With nice integration into Alexa.

I have one of these and added a sonoff smart switch to the gate. Easily connected it to open (full open and pedestrian open) using the Ewelink app (and also Home Assistant). Normal remotes continue to work with no issues as well

Thanks combo othis with sonof should be perfect!

This has worked great for me under the eaves of my house.

Aqara Camera Hub G2H - Apple HomeKit Secure Video, Night Vision, Zigbee 3.0 available to buy online at @TAKEALOT We offer fast, reliable delivery to your door.

I’m sure it would support Android as well.

If you have a power source close enough (15m or less).

Camera wise I'm guessing you didn't get the Xiaomi ones on the eBucks store over the weekend?

As far as I know yes.

Options:

1. Connect a physical remote to a wifi receiver - old fashioned and not necessary. Never implemented this. Might still have the diagrams.

2. A receiver connected in the motor casing itself.

My Centurion D5 Smart connected to wifi. Have a module inside motor linked to my Fidelity ADT alarm app.

Bit unreliable but working on getting the wifi at gate sorted. Remotes and bluetooth 100% but of course short range.

Quite a few have done it in these threads. Mainly with Sonoffs

PS. Have a wifi receiver module somewhere.

I used on of Sonoff's Gate/Garage WiFi switch's for our garage which I believe is based on a Sonoff SV. I set it up using eWelink but integrated it with our HA setup and it is is connected to the remote terminals of the garage motor with power supplied by the garage motor as well. Our garage motor works with the standard remotes, via the Sonoff switch and via our Paradox alarm, so we have a few options to open it on premise and remotely.

Wrt camera, my reolink RLC410 in courtyard notifies me when my cats at the window.

So gate camera RLC810A would also work. Just risk of passing cars and pedestrians triggering it constantly.

Regarding cameras,Ezviz, motion sensing works pretty decent, delayed sometimes though

Does anyone know of a good Centurion technician in the Sandton area? Intercom packed-up.

Same setup here using iOS, works on both Wifi and with remote. Have also integrated it into Apply Home using Homebridge
