Centurion gate motor automation

There is no wifi on the D5 Smart. Only works via Bluetooth. I had to install a G Ultra that can be stored inside the motor for Wireless access via the G Remote app. I emailed Centurion devolper to ask if they are planning to implement Voice assistant integration.

I have a centurion evo5 and I also have a spare sonoff switch and door switch. So my idea is to modify the sonoff switch so the output is simply a switch from the relay (cut the 230 v feed off) use it in inching mode and connect it to the gate board (Trg - com). Then I would use the door switch without the magnet part and connect it to the board as well (Status - com). That way, I will have a way to open/close the gate with eWeLink as well as see if the gate is open or close. What do you think?

Any tutorials on how to automate garage doors using a centurion nova receiver?

I know at the back of the motor there is a small plug for 4 connections:

Use the 24v for power
Use GND with ground and common from receiver
And PB for the Trigger

The garage door motor provides 24VDC.
Garage door channel must be linked to channel 1.

Hmmm, maybe I'll take some photos of the installation but any one dabbling with smart should be able to write it, very clear.

Have a look over the weekend. I need to neaten around the switches as the new covers are a little smaller, nothing a bit of paint and patch won't smooth out.

Installed one on my garage door and sliding gate motor on the weekend, wiring was a little different but as you say super easy. I am running bridge and have it hooked up to Apple Home, it works seamlessly and is almost instant.

Any concerns ito hacking the signal? By thieves like they hack remote signals, thus the rolling code remotes to mitigate the hacking.

I would assume its safe as part of one's wifi network.

I bet they would rather just steal the battery before worrying about how to hack your wifi to figure out how to open the gate.

With an anti-theft bracket and camera monitoring plus armed response? Doubt it.

Most theft from cars nowadays stolen by remote jamming. The thieves move with the times.

Yeah they will be gone with the battery long before armed response arrives

Get what you pay for! My armed response normally parked about 500m away.

To get battery they need to get through anti-theft bracket. Which gives armed response ample time.


Plus restricted access ... so good luck to them.

In fact placed my camera on high sensitivity for person detection to observe.

Although never had any issue, paranoid with new kit installed.

Really happy with the gate.

Limitation of bluetooth to change settings a pity but not complaining as I guess its a security feature.

Add that wifi module, its really easy and cheap. And its as secure as your wifi re hacking.

Not aware of one? To allow settings changes via centsys app?

Controlling open/close of gate via a Wave 2 IDS input/receiver linked to alarm app.

Settings something rarely done, so not too much of an issue.

Also looking for a similar solution. Got my alarm system going now with the MiRino app and just need to automate my gate. Also have the D5 but seems like it will cost the same as installing the new "smart" one.

You can open your gate from the app if you run a cable from one of the 2 relays on the falcon radio that your armed response company installed. Then in the app under the controls tab you can open and close your gate using the app. I have my gate and garage door wired to operate them with my app.
