Hi,

We have a D6 Centurion gate motor, at our complex. Every once in awhile, on a weekend, a vechile will exit the complex, the gate motor, closes, then opens, then closes, and opens, and stays open.

Is there a way, that I can view the gate motor log, on my computer, from my unit?
Getting an email, when this happens could be nice.

Ideas?

Thanks

Not sure if this is practical or possible in your case, but perhaps a smart wifi enabled door/window sensor attached to the closing ends of the gate and pillar would work if setup as a routine on Google home or other app with a trigger of "gate open" and routine setup as "if gate open....then....wait 3 minutes ..and if still open then send notification.

Not thought of that, thanks, some thing to consider.

Whenever something like that happens, it’s usually because the beam’s sensor has water droplets or dirt on it. If it has rained or your sprinklers have coated it, that will do it. A quick dry with a cloth and all is good with the world again.

Will, look into that, thank you.

Okay, still having issues with the gate motor reporting "collision" conditions.

It closes, opens, closes, opens, closes, opens and stays open.

At this stage I am rather gatvol. The rail is clean, the sensors are clean.

The rack is not properly straight - wanders on the pulley, but still works fine - from observation, and running it by hand.

Using My Centsys Remote, closes it most times, but there are times when it does not close the gate.

Considering putting a Sonof switch in there, so I can close it remotely.

But as the My Centsys app does not get it to close, on the odd occasion, I have doudts, that the Sonof will also fail, on those occasions.

Any other way of forcing a gate close event, to trigger, remotely, 100% reliably?

Have you checked that the speed sensor is good and that all the internal wiring is intact?

End stops solid , as these smart motors don't have a magnet by default.
Believe you can add the mag sensor tho
The app will have logs , should be able to pull .

Centurion do have a help WhatsApp line too

No issues with end stops, rack has a magnet on, the previous motor was a non smart D5 - that died after 27 years. Cannot say if it serves any useful purpose with the D6 that replaced the original D5.

The times I have pulled the logs, they just reported collision incidents.

Logs are format awfully tho.

May try the WhatsApp - thanks for the suggestion

Check battery voltage during gate open/close cycle. On my dumb D3 a battery in poor state would trigger a collision fault when the voltage dipped too low during operation.

Okay, will check that - OH FEKKK, wait, my multi-meter was stolen along with some other stuff. :(
