Has anybody had any experience with Chadha Inverters?

Their 1450VA 1200W, 24V sine inverter looks pretty good and is not badly priced. I need to replace my simulated sine Crystal 1000VA inverter for something a bit stronger.

Don't do it.

Please Note: This Inverter is NOT Compatible with Omni Power / Lithium & Gel Batteries

Is that your only reason?
The unit is compatible with my DC31 batteries
If you had an option of getting an inverter that is compatible with more battery chemistries at the same price, more mainstream for ease of support and its generally a better product why would you not go for it? Lead acid batteries are useless and everyone is looking for lithium options, the reason you have to buy another inverter is that the one you had is an inferior product, take the opportunity and get the best you can get for your money.

And no, that's not the only reason, I will suggest a Voltronic clone because you will have more options in terms of support since it's basically a Mecer, no one knows what a Chadha is, it's untested, could be obsolete in the near feature, there are just too many unknowns, yet you are paying more or less what you would for a more popular brand.

I don't "have" to be another inverter as my "inferior" unit works very well for what is has to do. The reason I am looking at other inverters is because simulated sine does not do standing fans very well. I loked at the Mecer, but swopping a 12v system for another 12v system, doesn't seem to be upgrading anything.
Your other point is very valid and my main concern in terms of back up and longevity. As for price the Chadra costs R3000 for a 24v hybrid unit.
Thanks for your reply

Maybe I don't understand what you are looking to upgrade, so bear with me, you want a Pure Sine Wave that is rated a 1200W, What is wrong with a 12V pure sine wave inverter that has the same 1200W power output as the 24V?

On top of that it can charge lithium batteries for when the inevitable happens and you want to upgrade to much better battery technology. I am happy to let you be if you have made up your mind on the Chadha but it doesn't make any sense to me to buy such an inverter for that amount of money.

The link you provided says R3395 for the 24V Chandra? Similar to the prices of the inverters I suggested

My current unit is only 740w with 2 batteries, so I cannot add a standing fan. The fan doesnt run properly, so I am presuming I need a pure sine with a bit more wattage.
If you are saying the 1200 watt Mecer will do the job with the option of solar and better batteries in the future, then maybe I have got this all wrong.
Had a quote from InvestSolar for R3k on the Chandra.

If you do not want / need solar capability, and don't mind a noisy fan:

This Kodak will do solar, it's a quality Axpert with a good warranty, but double the price of the Chadha:

This is the only thing I am worried about and they need to test. Does it have a noisy a noisy and always on fan, and does it have a high pitch buzz or something.
Yes a concern for me to. Where our unit is situated I can't have a noisy or constant running fan, so I need to check that with the Mecer unit

The Mecer modified 2400VA is not bad (noise wise) and fan only on when charging or on battery. I moved mine to the living room.

Mine is pretty quiet but I want to move to pure sine hybrid unit so not sure about the fan and noise level.

No in our own house, but positioning is an issue in relation to what needs to be powered.
I sommer drilled a hole through the wall and pushed the multiplug lead through (removed the plug first and put it back on or a new one, BLue = Bottom Left, BRown = Bottom Right), from living to my office.
