Nah, I think they're fighting a losing battle.
3G/LTE is faster, cheaper, and more portable (wider area of coverage).
If only you can get a 3G/LTE router that can do PPPoE for you (so that you can connect a stock Smoothwall to it instead of doing horrible double-NATting).
