I've got Windows XP Pro and CentOS running on the same pc.

What/where do I make the change in CentOS that Windows XP will always boot by default?

Same here as a matter of interest. Mandriva and Vista and I want to make Vista the default in GRUB. During GRUB install I did not see anywhere that one can change the default. Kingrob you using GRUB bootloader as well?

EDIT...found this answer in another forum and seems like it's a winner. Just not sure if your CentOS you can find grub.conf or menu.lst

In Mandriva go into your Mandriva control centre, I don't have mine with me but if you look through there look for boot options its in the last section , first been software then networks I think. When you find the boot icon go in there and you can set your boot order then you don't have to worry about editing grub yourself.

Sorry I can't point you to the exact location but I am at work

Sweet thanks. Will see if I can find it :)

edit /boot/grub/grub.conf or /boot/grub/menu.lst and change the line

default=0
appropriately

its normaly the first uncommented line. 0 is your first option, 1 being second etc.
