I should not be moaning, I'm in the Philippines and able to watch cricket- although the picture is sometimes patchy- but seeing this video promo of Channel Nine's launch of their HD coverage for cricket has gotten me so excited..how I wish I was a couch potatoe in Oz.

If we had this in SA I'd be willing to fork out the R7000 that an average HD-capable set goes for.

DStv has their finger stuck up their ass so even if you get an HDTV, Multichoice will take another decade to beef up our HD sports lineup.

I don't believe its that far off but if enough people pressured them they would at least present the home series in HD even though the SABC(with their HD-capable OB units) produce all the games with the exception of the T20.

Right now, I understand that transporting HD signals are prohibitively expensive but there shouldn't be too much cost involved if, for instance, the games were produced in SA.
