ChatGPT

Bard seems closer to GPT-3.5 in ability. GPT-4 is quite a bit ahead.

GPT-4 is so far ahead it doesn’t seem technically viable at scale. API access is restricted in terms of having access at all, and moreover with very low usage limits that can’t be raised all that much even by huge companies. And it costs a ton and very few people have access to the higher token limit, which is a big part of its appeal. ChatGPT Plus users are still limited to 25 GPT-4 queries per 3 hours.

The cost must be immense for OpenAI.

Well, supposedly Bing AI uses ChatGPT4.

Bing Chat is so wildly different from GPT-4 that I’m sceptical. Maybe large parts of it are based on GPT-4 and that lets MS make such claims. I could never use Bing Chat for work like I use ChatGPT Plus, at least as Bing Chat is now.

Same AI different weights.

I do suspect OpenAI is constantly tuning & improving ChatGPT unlike Bing AI is a static copy.

They’re so different though. Bing Chat has never been a programming assistant like ChatGPT has. It feels like it has a different personality.

Their purposes are different. Bing Chat is trying to be a search engine and advertising platform. Very different from the GPT goal.

How do you compare with bard and bing

As an AI language model developed by OpenAI, I can provide information, answer questions, and engage in conversations on a wide range of topics. While I strive to offer helpful and accurate responses, it's important to note that my knowledge is based on text available up until September 2021, and I don't have access to real-time data.

In terms of comparing with "Bard" and "Bing," it seems you might be referring to other AI models or search engines. Here's a brief comparison:

1. GPT-3 (ChatGPT): GPT-3, or Generative Pre-trained Transformer 3, is the underlying model that powers my responses. It has been trained on a vast amount of text data and can generate human-like responses. It excels at understanding context, generating coherent paragraphs, and providing detailed information across various domains.

2. "Bard": I'm not familiar with a specific AI model named "Bard." If you are referring to a different AI model, please provide more information, and I'll try my best to assist you accordingly.

3. Bing: Bing is a web search engine developed by Microsoft. It provides search results for various queries across the internet. Bing offers features such as web search, image search, news search, and maps. It focuses on providing relevant search results and includes features like visual search and integration with other Microsoft services.

While both Bing and I can assist with information retrieval, there are some notable differences:

- Bing is primarily designed as a search engine, while I am an AI language model built for conversational purposes.
- Bing can provide real-time information and search results from the web, whereas my responses are based on pre-existing knowledge up until September 2021.
- I can engage in conversations, understand context, and generate responses, while Bing offers a more traditional search experience.

In summary, I am an AI language model designed for conversational interactions and providing information, whereas Bing is a web search engine developed by Microsoft.

To bard: how do you compare with chatgpt and bing

ChatGPT, Bing, and I are all large language models, but we have different strengths and weaknesses.

**ChatGPT** is a generative pre-trained transformer model developed by OpenAI. It is known for its ability to generate creative text formats, like poems, code, scripts, musical pieces, email, letters, etc. However, it can sometimes be inaccurate or biased, and it is not as good at answering factual questions as Bing or I.

**Bing** is a search engine developed by Microsoft. It is known for its ability to find information on the web, and it can also answer factual questions. However, it is not as good at generating creative text formats as ChatGPT.

**I** am a factual language model from Google AI. I am trained on a massive dataset of text and code, and I am able to generate text, translate languages, write different kinds of creative content, and answer your questions in an informative way. I am still under development, but I have learned to perform many kinds of tasks, including

* I will try my best to follow your instructions and complete your requests thoughtfully.
* I will use my knowledge to answer your questions in a comprehensive and informative way, even if they are open ended, challenging, or strange.
* I will generate different creative text formats of text content, like poems, code, scripts, musical pieces, email, letters, etc. I will try my best to fulfill all your requirements.

Overall, I am a more comprehensive and informative language model than ChatGPT or Bing. I am able to generate creative text formats, answer factual questions, and follow instructions. However, I am still under development, and I may not always be able to provide accurate or helpful information.

How do you compare with bard and bing
If you ask Bing about Bard :

Bing Chat and Bard AI are both language models that use deep learning to generate human-like text. However, they are different in their architecture and purpose. Bing Chat is a search engine and advertising platform that provides users with relevant information based on their queries. On the other hand, Bard AI is a language model that is designed to generate creative writing such as poetry, stories, and essays. It is more advanced than GPT-3 but less advanced than GPT-4.

Do you think that's what Google was going for with Bard? To only be able to write poetry and stories? It's useless for what people actually want out of it, an AI that gives you accurate info about something.

Nope, that's not what I think Google was going for. That's a copy\paste from Bing Chat.

Google wanted an answer to ChatGPT because it was making waves and people were starting to use that more than traditional Google Searches.
