ChatGPT

Was on the waitlist but I’m a Plus user. It apparently was rolled out for everyone?

I haven't noticed it on my account yet.

As below, only for Plus users

I tried out a plus subscription a while ago but didn't really need it after the novelty wore off and the Rand/Dollar is depressing.
Is it very different from Bing Chat? Since that also uses GPT4? Just wondering what benefits there are with a paid OpenAI subscription internet plugin vs free Browser Plugins or Bing Chat.

Don’t know if it’s different but it’s R380 and I spend that much on a night out. Helps me with menial tasks so definitely worth the cost for me.

I’ll give Bing Chat a try tomorrow and report back if I remember.

Edit : Just tried it on a somewhat simple issue. Bing Chat took more steps to find itself. GPT took 3 prompts. Suppose I might be a good Proompter :p

Its there, but needs to be switched on.

This looks like VS Code only?

I may have linked the wrong one. Not at PC this evening. This one. Just need to grab the API key, go into options in visual studio, you know where all the IDE settings are, find the chatgpt section and drop the key into there.

Awesome will give it a try

So I took the plunge and resubscribed again to see how ChatGPT with internet access (Bing) compares to MS Bing Chat. From what I can tell, ChatGPT is more willing to "work" by browsing, then giving you and overview of whatever you are looking for while Bing Chat will give you a very brief summary and then essentially tell you to go look for yourself and it also doesn't seem to try very hard to find something. It's quite hard to believe they having the same "engine" driving them both.

It's also nice to see some of the other plugins are also live in Beta and I'll probably play around with them a bit to see how useful they can be.

Anyone tried out the iOS ChatGPT app now that it's available in SA? Experience is not bad and smoother than using a bookmark.

Did it get launched today? I’ll give it a look.

Edit : No plugin support so it’s okay but missing what makes it worth it currently for me. Performance is smooth and like the haptic feedback.
