I currently have a Galaxy Gio but because of the tiny 158mb onboard memory I am really in need of a new phone, something that will take me through the next 6 months. I don't want a downgrade on screen size the phone has a 3.2" screen. I am looking for something around R2500 or less. I have seen the HTC Desire C although it has a bigger screen, more ram the processor is only 600mhz, my gio is 800mhz. Any suggestions?

Its a little out of your price range at R2800, but the Acer Liquid Gallant Duo has the best specs that I could see in that price range. Otherwise the Motorola Motoluxe would be okay, but I'm not sure how much of an upgrade it would be over what you have now.

You can buy the HTC Desire C cash at CNA for R2198.

You can probably get a second hand Galaxy S2 for that price, if you don't mind using a second hand phone.

Moto defy is actually 1gh and you can over clock to 1.2 and you got a ton of ROMs to choose from incl.Cm10.

My dad got a gio ,and it can't compare to my defy.
