My old and main laptop which is an i5 (over 10 years old) has been incredibly slow and battery dies if I don't keep the charger on.

Anyways i need myself a laptop just for website stuff (chrome) and zoom calls, studying.

Nothing like watching movies etc or using hectic softwares as that's not important now.

I'm a student so budget is around 2K to 3K which is low I know unfortunately.

I've seen one not really known brand and is in the Celeron range, i know I can't get an i3+ with my budget but just need some suggestions.

Suggestion is that you save whatever you can for a few months and you should be able to pickup something pretty decent second hand..

Don't be tempted to get anything less than i5 or equivalent as you will regret it, especially if it's a celeron..

Yeah true, I did more checking now and my budget is definitely not good enough. Oh well.

The best you will do at that budget is a tablet with a keyboard. A laptop in the 3-4k range will just make you want to throw it out the window.

More realistically you're going to need to save to about 5k. That will get you a low end Celeron but at least it will have 8 gigs of ram and a 256 gig ssd.

Thanks guys, yeah I'll save up some more. Rather get something reasonable but also will last longer.

Bought an old Lenovo Thinkpad, around 2014 model because of how tiny it is. I like to do work on the go and it is small. I paid around R3400 second hand. Love it so far.

Best to buy second hand from someone who takes care of their stuff.
