Simples, get a seedbox somewhere where they literally give the middle finger to DMCA type requests (Romania springs to mind). France isn't bad in this regard either (OVH probably host over 70% of the worlds seedboxes if I had to guestimate).

That's why I said "if local" - and this makes me now wonder why Pho3nix chose a local VPS, but LION seems to be doing OK, so maybe I'm just being paranoid.

Local is better for me since the VPS is in JHB, I can make full use of my campus fiber connection for downloading. When I download that is.

At home on LTE, I stream.

Will OpenVPN hide your VPS's IP when seeding? I doubt that.

Hetzner will have a hernia if you torrent.

Hasn't so far @4TB a month.

I'd suggest getting a dedi (then you can run other items) with someone who doesn't care e.g. Kimsufi or online.net (both in France).

Really good little boxes, the scaleway dedis are done by online.net.

For torrents I'd do so at your own risk. I certainly wouldn't use a public tracker either.

Hetzner have been known to co-operate with law enforcement and then you get screwed. HARD.

They also have bandwidth limitations on tons of their products. No thanks.
