Having moved my Logitech 2300's into another room, I am ow in need of some PC speakers. I am looking for cheap ones that wont sound too bad. Cheap being preferably less than R300.00

Any recommendations?

Cups and string?

Just kidding, have a look by price on Kalahari and Take 2.

I don't want to just buy cheap ones to find they are absolutely awful, that's why I was looking for recommendations, but I will look.

Well, look for Logitech or Creative in your price range, Creative cheapies have better sound than Logitech cheapies.

Im actually in the same boat right now..

Im looking for some cheapies, but im looking for 2 speakers no sub.. what are that chances of finding anything decent without a small sub!

Im looking around so I will keep you posted (pun intended) pooky :D

Thanks I appreciate it. If anyone else knows of anything let me know...

What about the Logitech x-140 or LS11?

My mom has a pair of Logitech s-220's and they sound quite nice. I think it has around 17Watts. I can't remember what my dad got them for but they were around R300 or less

The Logitech X-140's look good from some reviews I have read, has anyone heard these?

Hello Pooky

try the Divoom range of speakers they are really good value for money ,

also you will glad to know that we opening our 4th Esquire Xpress store in Durban , in fact i just spoke to them 10min ago and they been working flat out to make it happen before month end , -so look out for some crazy specials especially for our Durban clients

Lol ... well I was going to recommend Divoom, and say I can help organise them for you ... but it seems my supplier of Divoom beat me to it ... oh well :/

Just wanted to say, I bought a Divooms Ares 300 for just over R300 IIRC and I'm very happy with it.

They're 2.0. No sub.

In my experience the subs on those cheaper speaker systems sound awful, I would rather just have a 2.0...

I am wary to go for a little known brand like DiVoom, is there anywhere I can listen to them?

I just told you they are fine. Don't you trust my word? :D :p

The Creative SBS A300 sub is not bad at all. I would go for a sub since you like bassy music.

Well the Divoom Xforce are quite nice ... my friend has a pair. And my other friend has a set of Comet's ... but they're expensive.
