Cheap So You Start Servers

Awesome, did you end up getting them to remove VAT?

Yep, VAT removed.

Had to submit a copy of ID / proof of residence, but once done they removed it with no issues.

I've installed ESXI 6.5 and migrated my mail across. Happy so far ;)

Have tried to sign up but get "Customer account not valid" when I login... No idea what to do now.

Create a ticket from your control panel and tell them:

a) You want to validate your account (you'll be required to provide ID + proof of residence - I used drivers license + Telkom bill).

b) That you want EU VAT removed as you're not a citizen of the EU.

Once that's done they'll email you back (took +-2 days for me) and advise you to proceed with purchase. You'll then go through the same invoice process and see the same page you see now, you'll still see VAT, but when you click next it will be removed.

If you go VMWare and ESXI like me then you'll probably need some help with the network bridging bits.

If you're on Skype PM me your user and I can help you out if needed.

Will definitely do so when my server arrives, thanks!

Still tempted. How is your latency to these servers?

Not really wanting to give out IP's etc, but a quick ping for latency (CPT SA - GRA FRANCE):

24 packets transmitted, 24 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 144.647/145.244/146.721/0.455 ms

On which network are you that you're getting sub 160ms to France?

You can pay on the old invoice. They should still deliver stock then!

Find your invoice in your control panel.

Invoice "expired"

Oh well, ordering the 32GB variant. More memory is always useful I guess.

andddd first VM up and running, thanks to @jsheed_sa for his config. I was able to adapt it to work on Proxmox 4.4 and the server is fantastic!
