Hey guys

I need some help to find the cheapest contract for the 5800XM. I'm just waiting for my contract on Cell C to finish in July so I can get a new phone. I don't really need free minutes and lower call rates etc. I just really want the 5800:D I've seen the MTN offer for R149. Just wondering if there's anything cheaper even with a slight pay in.

Thanks:)

I'm pretty much in the same position. I'm on the weekender with Vodacom for R135 a month (plus CLIP, etc) and they want R799 cash for the 5800. Unfortunately thats a little steep for me at this time, so I'm considering porting over to MTN, as they are offering the 5800 on the Anytime 100 package for R149 a month (including CLIP). As you already know.

The Anytime 100 is a much better package for me than the Weekender.

Only problem is, I've been happy with Vodacom for 12 years and have had very bad previous experiences with MTN, so porting is definitely not my preferred route.

I very much doubt there is a cheaper option out there, but would be nice if there was.

I was actually intending on going to chat with MTN in the morning and make up my mind what to do. So we shall see.

I just got my friend that phone through my sister.... Top315
Once off pay in of R199 on phone.

I heard though there is lack of stock of these Nokia's... damn stuff is just flying off the shelf

Btw if you want to port rather port to iTalk, been with them for 3yrs now and great service... MTN AnyTime contracts are such a deal for this country

I saw a 5800XM on the Vodacom site thats on Weekender for R135. Is this the final amount I would pay or do I have to pay for CLI and Itemised Billing?

Thanks for the replies guys, keep them coming :)

I was told that you need to add the CLI onto the R135 but that Itemised Billing is optional. So you're looking at around R145 if you don't want Itemised Billing. I still see the MTN offer much more appealing. R4.00 more a month but you get R100 worth of airtime to use for calls/sms's/data, etc. Plus 25 free sms's a month. I can't believe I'm very tempted to port over to MTN.

And best of all, no cash pay-in for the 5800. Just no stock available anywhere in Cape Town.
