Who has the cheapest line rental around?

I did not know that. I know Telkom for instance is not locked.

What connection speed you looking at? 2Mbps or 4Mbps, the cheapest is it take a combo through an ISP like axxess or similar.

I'm looking at 2mbps. I looked at the combo from axxess and actually not cheaper. If you get it separately it seems to work out better

The ISPs that I know of that lock you in should you keep your line with them, are MWEB and Cybersmart, and possibly WebAfrica too. Afrihost, Axxess, Telkom, iSat - they allow you to use whichever ISP you want, and keep only the line rental portion with them. But double-check with the ISP before you move your line over. Don't take my word for it.

What is the process on moving a Telkom ADSL line to yourselves? Telkom's support on ADSL lines is non-existent. My line is down for a week now maybe another provider can provide a better service.

We will be happy to help- Simply call your current ISP and ask them to put your line into a "holding pool" from there, send us a request via our helpdesk at this address http://helpdesk.isat.co.za/ in order to transfer your line to us, and we will keep you updated on the process.
