Please, no speculations, no "in the future...", no ''ideally...'' just pure facts. Who is paying the lowest for the ADSL and how much. What is the cheapest Uncapped adsl- let's say for 1024 connection?

If you see a thread and you know a cheaper price, then please tell us. We're getting hammered out there!

1024 adsl

prices vary, especially in different cities where isp services are limited. what price r u getting your connection 4

Unlimited Local and International downloads. P2P and torrents are allowed after hours! No contracts, No setup fees, month to month. Only R999 per month incl VAT.

R999 + R245? That's a car + insurance besides if my connection is uncapped then I would want it to be as fast a possible (1024 in our case) but still that would be enough to stream live tv and atleast then it would justify why I don't need to pay R400 for dstv

1mbit uncapped is about R2200 AFAIK. Then you'll add ~R520 ontop of that for the 1mbit line...

It is what it is - if you want 1024 speeds you're probably looking at R2200 plus R516 for the line.

Besides - 1024 is barely fast enough to stream live tv from overseas, assuming you could get the content, and the quality would be poor at best. Joost is pretty bad at even 4MB/s.

It would be easyest for you to download the tv program than to stream them... Downloading on a 4meg line will take you about 20min per ep... Which is quite fast..

whats the cheapest 3gig cap for a 384 line which allows 2 concurrent sessions?
cybersmart is R125 but they only allow one connection...anyone knows some one with the same price that allows 2 concurrent sessions?

for browsing and skype -
atm using prepaid for axxess at 69 per gb with rollover = R207

was looking for something closer to 125 for 3gb - doubt anyone has that with concurrent sessions allowed

the actual problem is HELLKOMS R245 bit just for the ADSL provisioning....that needs to come down....wonder if neotel or whatever they called will come with real competition at 50 bucks or so for the line bit...

WebAfrica Prepaid FTW!!

They have my support due to the credit card facilities. :)

we should start a thread of which home user is paying the most for his DSL - whether its 4mb+uncapped or whatever. But I would be interested who hear who is playing the most (and that being paid by yourself, not sponsored by your company :)

I think you'll find you can have more than 1 concurrent connection. Cybersmart restrict on location. You can have as many connections as you like but only from one connection, they lock you account to your port id. May sound useless but if you have more than one computer and use Routesentry it works a treat because each pc can create a PPPOE connection.

I'm amazed at what some forum members are paying for their Internet.
Can you "high-end users" list your connection and your salary? :p
Some rich dudes on this forum!
