Cheapest card to use overseas?

Which card would work out the cheapest or best for whilst I am in Germany? I have a FNB Gold cheque card and then a classic credit card, or won't it really matter?

Any visa/mastercard should do.

Try not draw cash often. Keep some cash with you and pay by card where possible....

So bank charges on both cards will pretty much be the same?

Credit card dosn't have swipe fees but the cheque card does. And if you get skimmed, it's better for them to steal the bank's money, than to drain your cheque account. Either way, don't draw cash, just swipe, and TELL YOUR BANK you are going overseas, incase your card is blocked for international use.
