R189 gives you 4Gb = R47.25
R249 gives you 6Gb = R41.50

Catch is the R99 signup fee.

am i right in saying that it doesnt really matter who your isp is (other than price) but if ISP A uses SAIX and ISP B uses saix. then i will get the same 'reliability' and uptime and speeds as i would at any other isp using SAIX as backbone?

Well, not technically, but mostly... if there is a problem, who is going to answer your call and are they going to answer, and are they going to know enough to tell you what is wrong, etc...

One should also include any Telkom Internet monthly accounts for the (currently) free local allowance. So for R239 you get +-5gb international and 30gb local, which works out to a very low per gb rate.

A tip on using Axxess local only, get a small Axxess monthly account (I find it useful for local SAIX access right at the beginning of a month while my other accounts are uncapped). Then if you need more it can be temporarily upgraded to any greater amount, but still @ R10 per gb.

I still get a 2/28 gb IS account (R159pm from Openweb). If you use the international portion very early in the month, you can get well in excess of 2gb international. It is only R29pm more than the IS 30gb local account, but given the cost of international, its worth paying the extra.
