The best that I know of is Axxess at R10/gb, anything cheaper? Looking at 10-20gb. Must give access to the Saix news server, as afaik the IS one is pretty poor? If it gives full 384k speeds it would be okay though, anyone know if it does?

From today onwards Axxess local only is on the IS backbone so I guess they're no longer an option...

The local+ is showing that it is IS but the local only is still showing SAIX and says the following :

The best thing to do in my opinion is to get another Telkom SA account!You will pay R79 for 1GB international and 10GB local or R149 for 3GB International and 20GB local.
I am planning on downgrading my 5GB SAIX to 3GB with 20GB local and then moving my international to IS,I will then use my 3GB international with a prepaid astraweb account and download files that are older than what the SAIX news server can handle(400+) and once caped move over to the 20GB local!I will then only use the local in the evening(when sleeping)and my 7GB odd IS in working hours.
I was thinking about moving to digichilli and just using the astrawebs news server but they have throttled the hell into all the news ports and have throttled torrents,P2P and so much more its disgusting so I am sticking with IS and SAIX.

Splinter, three things.
1. The OP was obviously just wanting some extra local for this month. Telkom are clearly the cheapest but don't Telkom require a 30 day notice period to cancel?
2. Why not use Afrihost for that international? Or is that what you were going to do? I lose track of whom they use for what.
3. Why have you not considered SAOL uncapped accounts?

1.If you are looking for a prepaid option opening a 2nd account with Telkom is obviously a no go.I thought you wanted a extra 20GB every month.If you looking for a prepaid option the best is then axxess! I know these guys are saying that axxess have moved their local to IS but I am sure the Local only account's which is R12 a GB is still with SAIX Wile their Local only+
account is with IS. If I were you I would just buy 1GB and check!
2.Afrihost does indeed run through IS however I got a limited offer from ISlabs which is a little cheaper than afrihost so will be migrating to that!
3.Dont get me wrong the SAOL account sounds great BUT you have to move your whole line to them and they limit it to 384.I believe you have to do this because they want to make sure the users can not download more than the prescribed amount because they don't have the systems in place to limit accounts to 384.I am not willing to move my whole line to SAOL and then when I get a rubbish speed have to move it back to Telkom,its just to much work!
I have become a bit sceptical about these cheap uncapped accounts after getting a uncapped digichilli account this month and not being able to do anything with it. I found a SSL port that they had not blocked and used that for a wile but when they did the resent bans they blocked that port aswell! I fully support banning people who are abusing the systems but allow people who are not(Like myself) to do what they wish with the bandwidth.

That sucks! So now the options for cheap SAIX local are even more limited. They better update their website. I'd be just a bit pissed if I bought a whole stack of local and then could not use it on the NS.
Tech, did you find out about getting TI 1Gb all access for only one month?
