Hi Community,

Was wondering if you know of any good data deals around right now. I'm going to be streaming this via my laptop to create a hotspot for a PS3, iPad and iPhone. Probably wont need more than 1GB a month.

Currently with Vodacom on a 12 x 1GB per month contract but want to switch over to prepaid. Generally found Vodacom and Cell C hae decent speeds in my area (Woodstock - Cape Town) but open to 8ta or MTN if they good, havent heard any good goods stories about them though?

So basically:

1) Whats a good Prepaid deal out there
2) Price?

Try prepaid 8ta 2+1 (night shift) GoBig package R149. 8ta network only. Valid to the end of next month. So if you load bundle on the beginning of the month, it gives you 1GB/R75 p/m. Service quality is good.

I hope I am not HJ this thread!
I will be visiting Cape Town from Canada for two weeks starting on Monday. I will be staying in the Durbanville and Paarl areas. Since I work in the industry I am fortunate to have a good selection of unlocked handsets, including a new HTC One, Galaxy S3 & Note2 to choose from. I also have an unlocked Huawei router "puck" (4G) and Galaxy LTE Tab to use there. In addition to the above suggestion for Telekom? 8ta, can someone please confirm if they have LTE and/or HSPA+ and coverage in the Northern Suburbs. Who is the roaming partner for 8ta?
I would like to use data to Skype, do email and surf. I also need some voice minutes.
Looking forward to your suggestions and comments!

8ta's LTE coverage map:

Bear in mind 8ta are using LTE band 40 (TDD @ 2300MHz) so are not compatible with all LTE devices.

My current 60gb + 60gb prepaid 8ta package day data is about to be depleted but i have allot of night data available. I am looking to purchase another 60gb+60gb will the data add to whatever is left night data or will i loose the unused data.

Don't load another bundle on the SIM with active bundle. Use another SIM. Read 8ta section, there were problems.
