Cheapest PS3?

Update: Picked up a PS3 80gb at CNA for R4999. Use your Edgars Cash card and you get R350 back in Edgars vouchers (as good as cash if you shop at Edgars), but here's the real kicker! Wait for 'double points' day and you get R700 back!!

Even better, buy the PS3/300 Blu Ray Movie pack and you get 300 on Blu Ray, plus (this was about the best thing), a free Blu Ray remote!! It isn't advertised on the box anywhere, and none of the salesmen new this either (typical).

So take R5000 less R700 less R300 less R350 =

R3650 for a PS3 80gb.

Where does the R300 come from? and you saying u get R1050 back in vouchers?

300 Blu Ray = R300
Blu Ray remote = R350
Edgars Vouchers = R700 (double points) or R350.

I just worked out with these items as extras, as lots of other stores sell the PS3 80gb without these for R4999.
 
I think it's a standard 1 year.

I bought Lair at GAME in the week, it was marked down from R699 to R200! I've heard lots of people moan about it, but I'm guessing they're all PS3 haters (I have a PS3 and xbox, but much prefer the PS3), anyways, the game is awesome!

It uses the 6axis control to the max, it's like when you were a kid playing Mario and you used to move the controller up and down as you pushed the jump button, only this time you don't push any buttons and the on-screen character actually follows your physical movements, you just move the controller up and down, and left to right and watch your dragon fly around as you command it! It's awesome :)

Oh, btw, reason for eventually buying a PS3 (I've been holding out for ages), I found out that Amazon now ship to SA and I just bought Planet Earth on BluRay for R350! It retails for R1000 in SA.

Apparently, incredible connection had 80G demos for R1999, and brand new with warrantee for R2499.
Where are all of them now? mostly bought by staff of each store...

Heard also that look n listen or reggies or someone had a 80 with ghostbusters bundled for R2799
 
Got the dreaded YLOD last night, luckily with the PSN fiasco I also backed up last night.
How does R3,799.00 for the 120Gb slim compare.

i bought one for a friend a few months back
 
i got one from Incredible and boy did they give me a problem.. they refused to find me one so i cold called their stores and found 2 of which they only gave me 1. They said a staff wanted it so i had to give it up or they wouldnt release the one i ordered.

i remember seeing PS3 Slims from Woolworths for R3699.00 recently plus you get a R100 in store voucher.

Some of those PS3s for R1999 were brand new, not demo models.
