I have a bunch of .co.za domains that I will need to transfer once UNIFORUM increases the price so just wondering who would be the best option ?

So far the best iv found is R55 for reg/ renewal
R15 - transfer

Would like something without a transfer fee as I have several to move.

I planned to use serv host, I know they are free but this is prob their service fee / mark up . I dont think a query would be of any benefit.

Za domains has no prices .. and my greater concern is that i'v never heard of them..

Hi Virtualk
Prices are listed on this page https://www.zadomains.net/pricing.html

No reason to be concerned at all. The site was recently launched and is currently in beta phase (there were a few posts made on the forum about it), and it is more aimed at resellers, how ever that doesnt stop any individual from signing up to manage and register multiple COZA domains within via the EPP system.

There is no charge to transfer COZA domains, can you query that with who ever you are using / plan on using.

Have a look at ZA Domains as the reseller option may suit you. (link in sig).

Thanks for the link.. I had a look at the Pricing http://zadomains.net/pricing.html and a monthly fee of R125 is still quite high for me as I only have around 30 or less domains. My domains are mainly for my personal sites or for friends/family. Besides the ZA Domains cost we still have to pay uniform, pay for dns hosting, so overall it's quite expensive.. Maybe consider having a free option for 50 or less domains, if not free than around R10 or there about.

there is no service fees currently ... but the R125p/m will apply at some stage ?

as stated, thats kinda steep if you have under 50 domains.

COZA Registry services thought that it would be a brilliant idea to charge for transfers and the gaining rar's was billed a percentage of the amount spent on the domain, and the difference was credited to the loosing rar account (complete cock up, and an administrative nightmare). Thank god they came to their senses and scrapped that retarded idea and now transfers are free.

What they should have done, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel was simply followed what the rest of the world does and charge a transfer fee but then allocate that payment to the next renewal period.

Some times I wonder about the sanity of those responsible for making decisions at coza...

Domaincheap.co.za is the cheapest that I know of. http://www.domaincheap.co.za. Like everyone using EPP they are accredited.

R50 a domain a year. They have most of my domains. You can pay with Paypal, EFT or credit card. Many people on the forum use domaincheap. :)

They dont offer telephonic support by the looks of it. As much as this maybe a simple automated service.. When theres a problem I hate sitting and waiting for ticket responses which often take days

We've updated our pricing for COZA Domains.

R39.90 registration
R60.00 renewal
Free transfer

...can't go complaining about that :) .. we also offer free DNS management (up to 10 domains) for full control over your domains.

Nice pricing, pity its just a temp promotional price. You ganna get owned on the transfer fee`s. Only moving from the legacy system to the new EPP system is free. If someone moves EPP to EPP you ganna get charged and since yours is free... you going to lose money.

R60 renewal fee.....
ZA domains charge R55 for renewals and registrations, No monthly fee if you have less than 100 domains, WHMCS plugin thingy, and dns management.
