Cheapish 3g router

Hi

I came across this one: http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/8560...ess_3G_Router_up_to_21Mbps_and_100_users.html for R400 (thats with delivery)

Specs for it: http://www.comx-computers.co.za/HUAWEI-D105-specifications-54807.htm
Its not portable since it doesn't run on usb power but requires a plug socket.

Check the bid or buy website, there are other wireless 3g routers as well. Some portable ones usually run on a battery others are usb powered. Personally Im not a fan of rechargeable batteries because over time, its life/endurance decreases and eventually needs replacing and depending on what type of battery it is, you cant always find replacements.

Battery serves dual purpose:
1. Portability - your comments apply
2. Source of stable power to 3G/Wifi transmitters. In this case it serves its purpose even battery is worn (assuming it plugged to the charger all the time). These devices do not suffer power problems typical to USB modems and if connected by USB cable, lenght is not restricted.
For the reason of (2) I prefer battery powered modems (assuming price is right). :)
