yes - I've never checked in but I've been checked in by others before :(
 
Check in Chinas - PM me your addresses, 'n all, so I can send my merry band of robbers to pillage your homes without fear of accidentally injuring someone in the commission of a crime - I am socially responsible like that. ;)

Disable it then. If you have your preferences set so that you have to approve posts by friends when they tag you it's up to you what appears on your timeline.

Thanks, I had no idea I could control that feature. I hardly use FB these days...
 
Almost checked myself into a pub the other day, but then remembered I had told a friend I was going home after visiting them.
