Hi,

I am looking at a second hand car. Everything looks legit. The car's license is up to date and the seller is the Title holder.

All I want to know is if there is a way to check the license disk or registration paper to see if the car is the registered colour. As the owner says it is a new paint job.

The license disk and registration also only says Make (Volkswagen) and Description (Sedan) of the car. Where are the details of the what the engine is be?

Thanks.

The engine number can be found on the engine, licence disk, & registration papers.

you can contact your local motor registration authorities. you might need the car to take to them though & they would be able to confirm the ownership etc.......

you would need to go down to VW dealer with the VIN number and ask them the exact model of the car. They will have it on a database, and will be able to tell you if its a 1.4 or 1.6 etc.
