The 20th birthday of Linux is drawing closer and the Linux foundation asked for user submitted videos to help celebrate the day (25 August 2011).

And what would you know, MS responded with this submission:

No matter how M$ slice and dice it, they want their closed, proprietary formats and standards to be used - and then they'll start charging for the use of these.

Linux, on the other hand, relies on open formats and standards so everybody can use it without getting banged by the porkers.

That's why there will always be friction between the two groups.
