Thanks for all the encouragement people !

Some answers:

I am living more healthy, smoking much less with the intent to be off my smoking addiction by end of year.

Unfortunately I have taken some damage eg: I don't have equilibrium along with a permanent feeling of being drunk in the head. I do not walk normally anymore, I walk unbalanced and I easily fall over if I lean towards a direction. My vision has been damaged, my peripheral vision can no longer clearly recognise objects and it is frigtening at times eg: a plant moving in the wind, I might think it was a person :p

I can still drive my car, but I have to focus intently on every move I make, and it is very tiring, so I don't really drive anymore (and was advised not to by a medical officer).

My skull still hurts very much where it was clamped for the surgery, it will take a while and I can only sleep in certain positions.

This last year has been so hectic that from now to end of the year, I am simply going to rest, sleep a lot, watch tv for a change and just hang at home really.

At this stage I have no grand plans, I really am exhausted physically and emotionally and need to rejuvenate before I get going again.

How did I go into remission ?
- chemotherapy
- radiation on upper left body
- removal of two tumours on brain
- very heavy radiation on brain
- brain steroids (which I have just come off)
- as much luck as all the bad luck over a lifetime lol

Those temporary drawbacks will fade into oblivion over the coming decades...:D

Oh my goodness, I just can't believe what a survivor you are. It's astonishing - you've literally been through hell. I'm in total awe.

Omg! Dunno how I missed this thread!

You are so brave! Take it easy and we will keep you in our prayers always!

My mother was in remission with breast cancer for five years... We got the results from her latest tests yesterday and it is back. We fight the old fight again. But she is very much like you - a fighter!

Please take it easy and keep us posted.
