Chery Tiggo 4 Pro Fuel Consumption

Chinese cars are sugar coated. But they are rubbish underneath.
How many complaints have you heard/read from actual owners? I haven't really heard of people complaining about build quality. Fuel consumption, yes, but that's known from the outset.

I usually form my opinions from my own personal experiences not from what some else said.

True. Although in the case of the Chinaman common sense says you're probably on the money.

Are those selling points now? What's it like to drive?

They're seemingly good value, but all these small SUVs seem incredibly dull and are basically just worse versions of similarly sized hatchbacks.

Yes cool tech that barely ever works has always been the selling point for chinese cars.

I am averaging 9.5-9.6l/100 at the moment still - apprently will get better as its not yet on 3000km
Liking the vehicle, but it is a bit bland, features are nice though - I got the top of the line ADAS model

That fuel economy is terrible and it’s not gonna get that much better once the engine is run in.

1.5L engines built by 4 year old kids in a Chinese factory arent going to be efficient.
Fark only 1.5L and people still struggle to get under 9L/100km, that’s not far off a 25yr old Honda suv with a 2L motor.
