Chery Tiggo 4 Pro Fuel Consumption

Hi All,

I am interested in buying the Tiggo 4 Pro.
Can anyone give me an idea on how is the average fuel consumption in the car? The unit I test drove yesterday was sitting at 11L to 100kms but I've heard people getting it down to 7/8L to 100kms. Is this normal for an SUV or is this car not tuned or turbo / transmission not mated well? Thank you

Yes very normal for a chinese SUV, my test unit had similar consumption.

I ended up with a used touareg same feul consumption and much bigger with a V6

I have the same engine in an Audi A6 - very light on fuel and that torque is something else

that highway cruising at 1500-1600rpm at 120kmh

I test drove a cherry tiggo 7. Nice car. Won't buy one unless the fuel economy improves. Ranther buy a honda Wrv, Suzuk starlett or something that will keep it's value

If you are worried about its fuel consumption just wait until you trade/sell it or need to repair it in 3 years time

Unfortunately this is an issue with Chinese cars, it doesnt get much better with time

Chinese cars arent engineered well. You cant really expect much from them.

The best figure you provided in on the higher side relative to the class. Also take into account reaching that best figure will require some skills. At this stage of the game you don't buy a Chinese car for maximum fuel efficiency, you buy it for the value or feature set or Bob down the road likes his one etc.

Thanks for your feedback everyone. I think Chinese make good aesthetically looking cars with good features but the engines are not mated well with the transmission and turbo

Chinese cars are sugar coated. But they are rubbish underneath.

Hi have a Tiggo 4 Pro and have gotten it down to as low as 5.3L/100km. It usually sits on 5.5L-6L because i tend to drive 80km-100km (CPT M5-N1 route). When I purchased it was sitting on 7L but after taking note of the gear shift indicator my fuel consumption dropped.

And they aren't even all that cheap, you just feel like you are getting a lot of premium features, imo you could get a much more solid car without unnecessary bells and whistles for the same or less money
