So how many of the myBB members play this sport of strategy and thinking, I haven't competed in a tournament for a few years now but lately I have tried it again and to be honest I am sorry that I quit,

so what openings styles do you play? Ratings? . tactics ?! I would love to hear it /play against a few of you.,

I guess I'll be brave and just say I played it in primary school, then stopped when I got to high school Can't remember my rating though, maybe 1600?

I am a keen player. I am not active in terms of tournaments and over the board play, but play online (usually 1 minute games ). Just don’t have time for long games any more…

I play online (yahoo.com) almost every night , 5 min games with 1 sec incrimental. Its still my favourite all time game. I am rated online in the 1500 but sometimes I dip into the 1400 especially when I play the 1sec blitz games , SA is just not broadband ready for 1 sec games , connection is toooo slow !!

I play on gameknot.com, usually have around 20 games going. ELO rating of 1348 currently. Look for Veroland on gameknot if you are keen to play a game.

Only when I go to my uncles village. Everyone there plays. However, since they spend their lives playing (and drinking)... it's difficult to keep up. It's usually a whole day thing!

I use to have a rating of 1700 when I was 15 or so , found that girls didn't like chess players as much . but before major math exams or anything that contains calculus I rather played a few games of chess then study my work, helped me ****loads XD.
