Chest pain.

From approx 9 am this morning I got this sharp chest pain, and it wont go away. What can it be, and what can I do to get some relief?

Just remembered, I always get more or less the same pain every time I sneeze, for a few years now. Maybe related?

Pls help a friend in pain!
 
I suggest you goto a doctor / hospital, we were discussing this in first aid today.

1 gentleman had the pain for 3 days and died.
 
the sneezing thing seems to indicate that it might be that you have scar tissue on your lung/s ..... have you had pleurisy or pneumonia at all?

Another thing that was brought up, many people rely on "Google" to diagnose their ailments and delay treatment because they have 'some' of the symptons. (not that Helix is doing it, I'm just saying, asking people on a forum is just as bad as "googling")

I'll say it again...

Doctor or hospital ASAP.

Rather go, spend some money, find out FOR SURE.

I don't want rpm posting another thread titled "sad news AGAIN" because I promise, in that thread I'm going to just "LOL!!!!" :rolleyes:
 
wouldn't google it .... it's from personal experience .... I would also say go to a doctor though, just to be safe.

For the life of me I dont know what the hell "pleurisy or pneumonia" is! LOL But the scar tissue part makes sense, maybe it is.

Well to go see a doctor now is a but tricky, money isn't always there for everything. But yes, I know I must have it checked out some time. You say I have maybe 3 days left? What a pleasant thought...
 
As Luke our FA instructor said at the start; when your body is in pain, there is something wrong.

Enough said... Life before limb (bad example) as it were, go spend the cash, go check your self out so we can carry on chatting for many years to come ;)
 
Okay guys (or girls) I really dont think it can be a heart attack, or even related to my heart. My dad had a heart attack, and he told me his whole chest pained, and also his arm. This pain I have is just like one spot in my chest. Nothing more. I can not go to a doctor now, so if it is my heart, the what must happen must happen.
 
you're dead mate.
My mother's, new husband's, sister's, brother in law had EXACTLY the same thing. And HE IS DEAD. (He was in a car accident as well but that's just a coincidence).
 
Hmm, I would rather go to a doctor as the other members have suggested. It might be that you pulled a chest muscle, but rather safe than sorry. Hope you feel better and that its nothing to serious!
 
Just tell me, anyone (gdiza or hosehead) isn't perhaps, or know Wardi de Wet? He's also in Cape town, a friend of mine, and also into all this paramedic stuff.
 
If you have bad chest pains, it might be acid reflux or ulcer. You dont always have to get heartburn. My dad had it, and its a valve or something that doesnt close properly, and he had a bad ulcer which caused chest pains. You need to check it out asap, and dont go to a paramedic. If you cant afford a doctor, go to a state hospital. I know its not always nice, but hey, its your health, and you need to check it out. Rather safe than sorry!

Otherwise I'll tell my wife to tell Rpm that I "wont be attending anymore" :D

Okay, pain is much better today. I thought last night, maybe I just strained a muscle or something. I did carry and move heavy stuff yesterday, so maybe it is that. Anyhow, feel much better. Thanks!
