Even on the basis of SANHA’s version of 37 per minute, it is a virtual impossibility for the killers to recite Tasmiyah on every chicken while at the same time ensure that all four neck vessels are severed in accordance with the Shariah. The reasons for this impossibility are as follows:

(1) The chickens are cruelly shackled upside down. This is indeed a haraam, awkward position for slaughtering. Islam has ordained another system for halaal slaughtering.

(2) The chickens approach the killers on a fast – very fast – moving conveyor belt. There is absolutely no time for even a second’s break in the process of killing.

(3) Each killer has to allow two chickens to pass by, and kill the third chicken. He has to count two and kill the third one. But this does not allow the killer two seconds of rest. The speed of the line ensures that even before the first chicken has been correctly killed, the next one is on top of the killer.

(4) The hand of the killer has to move incessantly for an hour. Even if the killer takes a puff of dagga, he is still human and cannot tolerate the continuous killing and the blood-letting non-stop for an hour. His eyes become blurry behind the dirt-blood stained mask which he dons. His mind becomes befogged with the blood and stench of thousands of chickens he has to kill at speed and in motion in a haraam and brutal manner. It is humanly impossible to cope with this inhuman killing system.

(5) The killers do not perform Salaat. While on the job, they never go for Jumuah Salaat nor for Eid Salaat. Imagine the type of killer who is supposed to discharge the sacred Amaanat of halaal slaughtering for the community! No daily Salaat, no Jumuah Salaat and no Eid Salaat! When the conscience of these killers permits them to practise wholesale neglect and abandonment of these Fardh fundamentals of Islam, what can be expected of them regarding the Tasmiyah, especially in the rotten conditions prevailing at the killing plants?

(6) On the admission of the killers, they simply do not recite Tasmiyah.

Lol@grantza . You have found the kkk equivalent of a Muslim organisation that is based in PE. Those guys are certified nuts.

None of the Clerics I have met in SA agree with them on virtually anything. They hate everyone, including muslims.

From VOC:

As VOC geared up to host a special focus on the halal certification of Rainbow Chicken on Wednesday evening, the company reiterated that it relied heavily on the two halal certifiers - the Muslim Judicial Council Halal Trust (MJCHT) and the South African National Halal Authority (Sanha) - to guide them on meeting Muslim needs. Wednesday's Halal Focus program from 7.30 - 9pm comes after Q&A expert, Mufti Abdul Kader Hoosain, maintained that Rainbow could not be halal, amongst others because "chicken were fed on other chicken".
Collier confirmed reports from the MJCHT that Muslim slaughterers are employed at local plants to hand slaughter chickens at Rainbow. While the MJCHT reported that approximately three slaughterers worked in shifts of 30 minutes, Collier said that they found the shifts stretched up to 45 minutes at different plants. According to Mufti Hoosen, two other reasons why he had his doubts about Rainbow was because he did not believe slaughterers were physically able to recite the tasmiyya on every chicken and because some of them allegedly admitted to them that they did not perform Jumuah

In any event Mr Panji, you can laugh as much as you want at me, but on Saturday I had friends round for lunch.
I buy the "halal" food and a friend's girlfriend usually does the preparation & cooking.
I saw an unusual amount of bits of blood present in the "halal" chicken - in fact more so than the "non-halal" chicken breasts that I would usually purchase. I asked my friend's girlfriend about this.
Seems they were happy as long as it had a halal stamp.

But on a side note, i grew up with the methven family in dbn many years back. let me assure you, one thing you would not find in their kosher fridge or table was a "regular" old rainbow chicken. - - food for thought - - ?

did not see that.

what about Mufti Abdul Kader Hoosain ?

He does a q & a session on Channel Islam weekly, and hatcheted the whole bulk chicken industry on whether they were actually producing halaal chicken based on the processes they were using

The halal chicken was obviously more fresh hence the fresh bloody look.
Frozen chickens are watered before I freezing
