Oh, well If you’re in midrand maybe we can meet up at an adult world sometime

Yeah, that thing looks interesting. I’m primarily getting my Tabascos started early this season was able to harvest a few hundred seeds.

Not in a while sadly. Have two sad looking birds eye that I'm hoping will survive the plot cold. Will try for some others when spring rolls around.
Good Luck
They're pretty tough chillies, I ignore mine on my stoep in winter.
In Spring they bounce back to life

Order placed with Livingseeds.

My indoor grow so far. Had to downscale a lot since I immigrated, slowly building up again. Had to switch to hydroponics in autpots this year in an attempt to catch up on the short growing season. Will start the seeds sooner next season and go organic again and run some hydro's for fun.

Have had some challenges with Edema which is new challenge from growing in SA. Planning to get a dehumidifier on ebay. Still setting up the tent automation this weekend using sonoff kit.

Reaper and Ghost peppers pictured. Birds-eyes and others are outside. Some krakty's in a sunny window for fun, which are doing surprisingly well.

Will be making a hot sauce today, will post in the host sauce thread.

Glue plugs the best, jiffy pellets sucks. Just keep those in a zip lock bag with a bit of water to maintain hydration.
Good to hear. Last year I used jiffy pellets. Was also thinking the bag needs to be kept sealed with a bit of water to keep them moist. Not gonna use all 60 of them now.

Been growing indoors using kratky, 8 habaneros, 5 reapers, 1 birds eye, 1 ghost and 2 lemon starrburst. Lots of chillies on the birds eye in a 500ml valpre bottle, habaneros and reapers have started flowering. Most are in 2L buckets due to space..regret starting so many.

Try https://peppadogs.com/shop/seeds/ I have had great success with them. Solid range as well.
I ordered their bundle 25 varieties..just no space to grow them yet, but the free lemon starrburst seeds i got with have 2 growing.

Your plants look amazing.May i ask what nutrients and EC you are running at the different stages? I have no idea whats up with my habaneroes, all their leaves are dark green and bubbly and wrinkled and ridiculously bushy.

Nitrogen toxicity. What EC and pH are you running ?

I change nutrients every week and start with a PH of 5.9 - 6 but the ph Meter I have isn't the greatest, EC at the moment is 2.1, but I've only been increasing it recently, I see some people only grow 1.2 EC, plus the nutrients I'm using Starke Ayres nutrifeed has less nitrogen I think, but when they were seedlings I was using 3 part nutrients and EC was around 1.2 at full strength. My reapers are barely green using the exact same strength..but only the Habs are bubbly and dark green.

What EC do you use?

At that size of a plant I am usually at 1.6-1.8 EC. I then ramp up .2 increments every two weeks at a time and see what the plant is telling me. Then take a decision from there to go up or down or stay at the EC when its time to fill up the reservoir. Some varieties love it high others low, I have found no magic EC value to be honest especially when you growing different varieties. So I have an EC for each, bit of a pain as I need to keep a spreadsheet to keep track. Currently I am at 2.2 EC on the ones pictures with PK 13/14 but that another story. I have been to 2.8 before with no ill affects, but see no difference between 2.2 and 2.8 so 2.2 is where I am keeping them for now. Rather less EC than to much unless yellowing obviously.

To give you some view into my EC.

I use tap water that comes out at a stable PH of 8.1 with a stable 0.3 EC. I then use Atami CalMag to get the EC up to 0.5 then use A+B to get to my desired EC in veg. During veg I use a citric acid based PH down and a phosphoric acid based PH down in flower. I am super pedantic to hit a final PH of 5.8 on the button.

All your peppers need a hit of calmag. I hope you supplementing with calmag. Chilli's in particular need to be supplemented. When I get leaf curl like that. I do a calmag folior spray once a week while I wait for the plant to take it up naturally. I would also back off heavily on the EC for the Habaneros there for two weeks to recalibrate what they want. That said they don't look too bad for the stage they are at should recover nicely. Some of your others need higher EC but I am sure you see that.

That said, let me call in the professionals. I am not sure how active they are on the forum though.

@Chillihead & @Outcast777 your view?

Edit: I use Plagron nutes for A+B and PK 13/14 and canna for PH down.

Chillies are easy to grow use actual chillies cut in half and bury the entire half it will sprout.

Do this in a pot then move the pot outside if you started inside to climatise the plant then transfer into the ground
