Actually he has a point there, Taiwan is a symbolic strategic threat the same way West Berlin was.

should a war break out however it wouldn't actually be about Taiwan ... i.e. it is not truly about Taiwan posing any threat to China

just like another war that is about 14 months old right now is not truly about Ukraine

the common denominator is the country doing the meddling, no that is not spin, that is the thing starting wars and that is the thing we all should be condemning

I believe that most people here are content with the status quo, and not many are cheering for independence.

I almost get the feeling you are cheering for another war.

So if Russia left Ukraine alone and China left Taiwan alone, there would be no war. So who is actually meddling then?
