Donbas, back in your faceThe majority of Taiwanese do. That's how democracy, which China isn't, works.
about half the idiots in this very thread cheering for Taiwan independence while denying any portion of Ukraine has any such right?I must have missed that.... what double standards are you referring to?
This is the odd thing about China, it has the worlds largest chip on it's shoulder..... say something about it's mamma and it might just nuke you.
Ah..... yes that is quite blatant....about half the idiots in this very thread cheering for Taiwan independence while denying any portion of Ukraine has any such right?
pointing out double standards is not "support"
although the way the world's shifting it may not be the worst idea to cosy up to some of our potential new overlords
China will not easily ever have as good an opportunity as the Ukraine war to intervene militarily in Taiwan, all of NATO is sending their ammo and weapons into a black hole where it won't come back from, they're in no position for another front to open with a major military player
one would think that's obvious enough for USA to back the F down ... alas ... they're either too stupid to see it or they actually want it
That is just your spin, and in any case, Taiwan does not pose a significant threat to mainland China, so there is no valid reason for military intervention.ftfy

Actually he has a point there, Taiwan is a symbolic strategic threat the same way West Berlin was. That is just your spin, and in any case, Taiwan does not pose a significant threat to mainland China, so there is no valid reason for military intervention."

It's been like that for 70 years. What's changed? Taiwan too successful like Hong Kong?Actually he has a point there, Taiwan is a symbolic strategic threat the same way West Berlin was.
China is imploding..... it needs external enemies to focus on.It's been like that for 70 years. What's changed?
Thanks, you answered my questions. See my edit.China is imploding..... it needs external enemies to focus on.
Also Taiwan not imploding makes it unsightly to the CCP.... people will start to ask why it's not while China is.
should a war break out however it wouldn't actually be about Taiwan ... i.e. it is not truly about Taiwan posing any threat to ChinaThat is just your spin, and in any case, Taiwan does not pose a significant threat to mainland China, so there is no valid reason for military intervention.
Your opinion.should a war break out however it wouldn't actually be about Taiwan ... i.e. it is not truly about Taiwan posing any threat to China
just like another war that is about 14 months old right now is not truly about Ukraine
the common denominator is the country doing the meddling, no that is not spin, that is the thing starting wars and that is the thing we all should be condemning
just like those WMDs that were never in Iraq is merely an "opinion" ... wake upYour opinion.
I believe that most people here are content with the status quo, and not many are cheering for independence.about half the idiots in this very thread cheering for Taiwan independence while denying any portion of Ukraine has any such right?
